X Ʌ N I K Ʌ  is a curated platform offering antique and artisan objects from across Africa. Each piece is hand-selected for its history, beauty, and craftsmanship.

Where do your pieces come from?

Our collection is sourced from across the African continent, with an emphasis on cultural significance, provenance, and craftsmanship. When possible, we include details about origin, material, age, and maker.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and Shop Pay.

When is my order confirmed?

Your order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to issues such as item unavailability or suspected fraud.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Where do you ship?

We currently ship within the United States only. However, if you are based internationally and really interested in an item – reach out to us! We will make every effort to work with you to formulate a shipping plan depending on your country’s rules and regulations.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and vary depending on the size, weight, and fragility of the item. Larger or more delicate items may require freight shipping — we’ll contact you if special arrangements are needed.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Shipping times vary based on the destination and item. You’ll receive tracking information once your order is on its way. We will make every effort to ensure your order is received as expediently as possible.

RETURNS & DAMAGES

Can I return an item?

All sales are final due to the unique and delicate nature of our collection. Please read product descriptions carefully before purchasing. Many of our items are genuine antiques and collectibles, meaning that they will continue to appreciate as time goes on provided each item is properly cared for. These items are intended to maintain, if not appreciate, in value.

What if my item arrives damaged?

If your item is damaged in transit, contact us within 3 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging. We’ll work with you to resolve the issue.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Are your items new or vintage?

Our pieces are primarily antique or vintage and may show signs of age. These details add character and are part of the item’s story. When known, we provide an estimate of how old the item is. Given the subjective nature of antique sourcing, even a stated date range is only an estimate of an item’s true age. Many of our collectible items have been reviewed by an African art collector to ensure the date given matches the item’s provenance. 

Are the objects authentic? 

Yes! We do not sell anything that comes from a factory or is made in bulk. Every item is handmade and one of one. In terms of age, we make every effort to verify the authenticity, origin, and age of each item based on available expertise and documentation. However, we cannot guarantee historical accuracy unless stated explicitly.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Can I use your photos or descriptions on my own site or social media?

All original content, including product descriptions, images, and branding, is the intellectual property of X Ʌ N I K Ʌ  and may not be used without written permission.

What about the cultural designs on the objects?

We absolutely do not claim ownership over the traditional designs or heritage of the objects, and we make every effort to credit and celebrate the diverse communities that make them. However the way we present, describe, and interpret our products is original content and protected. 

CUSTOMER CONTENT

Can I share my X Ʌ N I K Ʌ  purchase on social media?

Absolutely! If you tag us or submit content featuring our pieces, you grant us permission to share it on our website, social platforms, and marketing materials (with credit where possible). If you prefer we don’t use your content, just email us at xanika@xanika.com.
